Potassium is an essential mineral and the third most abundant mineral in the human body; present in most foods and can be supplemented for deficiencies, if your consumption of potassium is under 4700 mg daily, you may be deficient. Potassium promotes regular heart rate by reducing the negative impacts of sodium, it is also known to prevent cramps, reduce risk of stroke and helps to support healthy growth and development. Potassium is used to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in the body which is critical for oxygen delivery to all cells.

Studies have suggested that potassium can improve bone mineral density, however this has not been clinically proven.

The daily recommended dose of Thiamine is anywhere between 0.9mg-1.1mg daily. Most B vitamins help with the production of red blood cells and therefore can be used to treat serious conditions such as anaemia by allowing for reproduction and redistribution of red blood cells and oxygen.

VITAMIN B6

Vitamin B6, also known as Pyridoxine, is the result of 6 different vitamer compounds and is an essential nutrient in all diets, it performs a multitude of contrasting functions in the body such as strengthening cognitive functions (especially in older people) and Reducing symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (in women). B6 helps the body store energy from proteins and carbohydrates, it also helps with haemoglobin production- which is what transports oxygen attached to red blood cells through the body. The daily recommended amount of Pyridoxine for men is 1.4mg and for women is 1.2mg.

B12 is an essential factor for many of the bodies' natural processes such as producing red blood cells, maintaining a healthy nervous system, releasing energy (calories) from food, and creating and maintaining DNA and RNA reactions. The daily recommended amount of B12 is 1.5 micrograms.

D RIBOSE

Also known as Ribose, is a type of sugar which is naturally produced in the human body- It is used to create ATPs (adenosine triphosphates), the fuel in which the mitochondria in the cell burns and is the most basic energy our bodies produce.
